You can go here for the 2006 Men's Outdoor Playdown schedule. Insha'allah, once our ranking and everything is finalized, we will update everyone with detailed information regarding Playdowns and Provincials. We still have one more game left (against Black Label - see post below this one) before we know for sure whether we've qualified for Playdowns so our last game is important.

The playdown games involve the top teams from their respective divisions and are held in order to determine which teams will have the honour of representing Edmonton in the Provincial Championships. To qualify for Provincials, we must be in top form since we must survive 3 consecutive elimination games against other elite teams like our own. The 4th and final playdown game is to determine which team is Edmonton 1 and which team is Edmonton 2. Edmonton 1 and Edmonton 2 will be the 2 teams out of all the teams in Divisions 3 and 4 with the honour of going to Provincials. There are a total of 91 teams in these 2 divisions so let's fight hard and win this honour!

All of the Playdown games will be held at the ESA Complex (where our game against Black Label was cancelled this past Wednesday). Please keep these following dates free in your schedule as we will need our full squad to do well. The first playdown game will be on Sunday, August 20 at either 2 or 4PM. The second playdown game is on Tuesday, August 22 at 6:30PM. The third playdown game will be on Thursday, August 24 at 6:30PM. The fourth and final playdown game will be on Monday, August 28 at 6:30PM.

If we are able to win the first 3 playdown games, we gain a spot in the Provincial Championships which are scheduled for Sept. 1-4 in Calgary.
