This week's practice before the game against GCS will be this Tuesday, August 1 @ 7:30PM at the same location as usual (opposite the Markaz masjid at Leefield Community Centre). This is a departure from the usual Monday practices and it's a special case for this week.

We will be playing in the MAC Muslim Soccer Tourney this upcoming Sunday, August 6. It will be a full day commitment with a grueling 4 game schedule. We will be collecting $10 from each player in order to cover the team registration cost. Please get the $10 to me (Muntaka) as soon as possible. If you're able to, bring it to this Wednesday's game.

This will likely end up being our toughest game left in the season. We're playing GCS United, one of only 2 teams who have handed us a defeat in this Outdoor 2006 season. Let's bring our full game and ensure that they do not hand us another loss. It's crucial that we win all of our remaining games, including this upcoming one.

As you well know, this game is likely to decide our fate this season. As Uncle Alami has already made quite clear, everyone HAS TO be on the field at 7:30PM sharp so we have enough time to properly warm up so we can start strong and take the game from the very beginning.

Also, I wanted to apologize to everyone for my flash of anger at today's game. It was unacceptable and I regret it. I believe it's a Prophetic saying which mentions that the strongest amongst the people is he who controls his anger. If that is the case, I was the weakest at today's game.

Our June 28 game against Meyn FC has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 22 at Talmud Torah #6 (6320 - 172 St.) at 4PM. Please give yourself enough time to get to the game and arrive 30 minutes early as usual. Also, let me know if you're unable to make the game so we can plan ahead.

Alhamdulillah, we won today's game 2-1 with two gorgeous goals from our new striker Qasim Rekieh. Our record is now 7 wins and 1 loss. If we're able to keep up our momentum, we will insha'allah finish at the top of our league.

Reminder about practice as always this Monday at 7:15PM opposite the Markaz ul-Islam. I'll unfortunately be coming late since I'll be coming straight from an important meeting but one of the rest of us will be there on time to look after the practice.

This game is a crucial game for us so please ensure that you arrive 30 minutes early. The game is extremely far away so we suggest that you leave home at 5:15PM because you'll also have to deal with rush hour traffic.
